Mom-to-be? Already a parent?
NewbornsIf you are bringing in your newborn for their first 3-day weight check, we ask that you bring in the discharge paperwork provided to you by the hospital or birthing center. This gives us an accurate weight for your baby and other important information we need to make sure your new addition is healthy and happy! Sick Child VisitsWe want to do everything we can to take care of your sick child. In order to ensure we are able to properly care for all of our patients, here are a few things you need to know. We follow the treatment guidelines established by the American Academy of Pediatrics. We do not run any test which we do not feel is needed to assist us in diagnosing your child's illness. However, it is important to understand that all tests/procedures which are run inside or outside of our office are billable separately to your insurance. Outside labs (LabCorp, Quest, etc.) bill for their services independently to us. If you feel there is a test/procedure that need not be run or that you do not wish to have performed, please inform your nurse or provider ahead of time. We arrange our schedule so that we can accommodate the needs of as many sick children as possible. Should you have multiple concerns or one which may need additional time to address (i.e. neurological concerns, behavioral issues, etc.), please let us know at the time you make your appointment so that we can allocate additional time as necessary. Should you have a sibling whom you would also like to have seen, please make sure you schedule him/her for an appointment as well when you make your appointment. Walk-InsAll visits require an appointment except in the case of an emergency. Unfortunately, we are unable to see your child if you walk in without an appointment. We will ask you to return later in the day as the schedule allows. Well Child VisitsRainTree Pediatrics follows the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics when performing well child examinations. However, each insurance company determines which tests/procedures they will or will not cover. For instance, some insurance companies will not cover hearing/vision screens, or will count a visit where vaccines are administered as a well visit against what they allow annually. Please let us know if there is a specific portion of the well visit which you would prefer not to be performed. Vaccine records are updated immediately. If you would like to have a copy of your most current record, feel free to ask our front desk when you check out.
